Cafe Rose

A family-friendly, traditional cafe that has an extensive breakfast menu –the perfect place to hang out on a Saturday morning while trying to cure that pesky hangover.

Serving proper fry-ups, whether you’re a meat-eater or vegetarian, there's always a steady stream of locals coming through the door to enjoy its freshly-cooked, no-nonsense fodder.

Jackalope

If anyone knows an Instagrammable dish when it sees one, it’s the new addition to Sale, Jackalope. Thankfully, it’s not a case of style over substance – the food stands on its own.

Jackalope has loads of breakfast options available on the menu, including a full breakfast (with bacon and sausage supplied by everybody’s favourite Sale butcher, Taylors). They aren’t afraid to take a classic dish and notch it up a level or two; try their shaksouka, steak & eggs hash or huevos rancheros, for example.

Jackalope breakfast and brunch isn’t just for a quick ‘fill me up’ on a hungover morning – it’s the kind of food experience you can enjoy any day of the week, whatever your mood.

📍Jackalope, 46 School Lane, Sale M33 7XE

Porta 134

This Greek-inspired coffee shop serves up a traditional Cypriot breakfast, which includes eggs, grilled halloumi, feta, olives and sourdough toast.

If you’re not hungry enough for a large breakfast, Porta 134 also serves up a selection of baked treats for those who prefer their breakfast on the sweeter side.

Rack

Rack is a sandwich shop, but, like, way better. Opened on School Road in July 2023, its selection of breakfast sandwiches (until 11.30am) and all-day brunch dishes has gone down a treat with locals. Recommend!

📍 Rack, 1st Floor, 84 School Road, Sale M33 7XB
