Ashby’s Greengrocers

Ashby’s, Stanley Square’s modern greengrocer, has a fresh, organic takeaway soup and salad bar ready to serve you a quick, healthy, genuinely delicious lunch. Ashby’s is a great place to pop into for lunch if you’re passing, or only have time for a short lunch break.

With a frequently-updated menu available, you’ll never get bored of what they are serving. You can choose your own ingredients as part of their salad bowls, including salad leaves from Sale’s own Glebelands Organic Produce. 🥗

Osechi Japanese

When a cheese toastie just won’t cut it, enter Osechi. With its extensive menu, one of the most exciting things about ordering lunch from Osechi is you can choose a bit of what you fancy, depending on how hungry you are. Highlights include their sushi rolls, temaki tuna rolls and salmon sashimi.

If you’re especially hungry pick any of their ramen, pad thai and curry options. All served quickly, at reasonable prices. 🍱

RACK

RACK opened on Sale’s School Road in early summer 2023 and has quickly made itself at home. Serving all things sandwich, it’s the perfect place to pick up a quick lunch to takeaway, or if you have more time, sit-in is available.

The menu is all highlights really, but our favourites so far include their chicken bloomer (the addition of roast chicken crisps is genuinely mind-blowing) and the Welsh rarebit toasted sourdough. Both 💯.

One of the best restaurants in Sale, Roti’s menu might not shout ‘lunch’ at first glance but take another look. With its Scottish classics with Indian twists, Roti serves small plates, so you can pick as few (or as many) as you fancy on the day – ideal for lunch!
