Sale Moor’s much-anticipated addition, Fibber Magee’s, officially opens its doors this weekend, following a very successful soft launch last weekend. Locals and visitors are invited to experience a little piece of Ireland in M33.
We went to have a look ahead of its opening…
Stepping inside the micro-pub on Northenden Road feels like being transported to a cosy Irish village pub, with wooden furniture, traditional artwork and a welcoming vibe.
Fibber Magee’s, known for its long-standing success in Dubai, has brought its winning formula of friendly hospitality, traditional drinks and community spirit to Sale Moor. Inside, the compact yet charming space is filled with Irish memorabilia and a snug bar area. The intimate atmosphere is perfect for those looking to unwind with friends or enjoy a quiet pint while reading the paper.
The drinks menu reflects the pub’s Irish roots, with a standout selection of traditional Irish beers and whiskies. Fibber Magee’s proudly serves what it calls “the best Guinness in town,” poured with care to ensure that signature creamy head. Whiskey lovers will be delighted by the variety of Irish options, alongside other global favourites. There’s also a small but carefully curated signature cocktail menu, ideal for those seeking something a little different.
In the coming months, the team will begin to serve a food menu that includes all-day breakfasts and Irish classics.
The venue will host regular live music nights on Friday and Saturday evenings, including traditional Irish sessions.
The business aims to have a positive impact on the local community and is already working with local suppliers, including Lucky Bee Gin, which is distilled just down the road in Ashton on Mersey.
