A LOOK INSIDE V.Vintage, Emporium M33
A love of vintage fashion and interiors has led Victoria Sullivan to set up a store in Sale, bringing a carefully curated selection of preloved treasures to the town.
V. Vintage, Victoria’s new venture, has recently moved into Emporium M33 on Tatton Road. A seasoned expert in sourcing unique finds, Victoria’s collection is an eclectic mix of high-quality high-street and designer pieces, spanning both clothing and interiors.
Victoria Sullivan, founder of V. Vintage
Originally from Lancashire, Victoria’s journey has taken her far and wide. At 18, she moved to London before heading to New York in 2004, where she spent two decades raising her family and immersing herself in the city’s thriving vintage scene. Now back in the North West to be closer to family, she’s sharing her passion for vintage with the local community.
Interestingly, Victoria’s sister, Charlotte, with whom she co-founded White Rabbit England in 2001, has also recently moved into a space inside Emporium M33 – making their creative presence a real family affair.
A lifelong love for vintage
Victoria’s passion for vintage fashion and interiors runs deep. A successful interior designer, trade, she recalls childhood photos of herself in what she describes as "weird outfits" – an early sign of her flair for style. Her keen eye for quality means she only sources real fabrics such as cotton, wool, and silk – avoiding anything synthetic.
Having spent years rummaging through New York’s famous thrift stores and stoop sales, where hidden gems can often be found, Victoria has brought many of the pieces back from the city. She also has strong sourcing connections in London and plans regular trips to Portobello Market to add even more unique finds to her collection.
“I love to find a find,” she says, embracing the thrill of discovering something special.
Her love of vintage extends to modern sustainability trends, something she’s seen firsthand with younger generations. Her own children and younger relatives rarely buy new, instead preferring to repurpose and reuse clothing. “It’s just not something they’re interested in,” she explains. “They love my vintage finds!”
The art of reinvention
V. Vintage isn’t just about selling second-hand items; it’s about breathing new life into them. Victoria has a passion for making clothing her own – she enjoys blending masculine and feminine styles and even dyes pieces to refresh them, particularly if they have minor imperfections.
Her collection features a mix of carefully selected high street and designer labels, ensuring there’s something for everyone looking to add a touch of individuality to their wardrobe or home.
V. Vintage is now located inside Emporium M33 on Tatton Road, Sale
