The best burgers in Sale

Sale’s burger offering has come a long way in recent years. Now, you have the option of trying a burger place nearly every night of the week.

We've rounded up the best burgers to try in Sale if you have a craving to satisfy.

Burger Stop

Burger Stop opened in Sale in the summer of 2022 and is a great place for burgers if:

📌 You’re looking for a quick bite to eat, but still want quality ingredients.

📌 You want to eat out, but don’t want to break the bank

📌 You’ve promised the kids you’ll take them for a treat

The service is friendly and quick, the food tasty and prices are extremely reasonable – especially given the quality of the food.

Canteena Bar & Grill

Although specialising in steak, Canteena Bar & Grill also serves an excellent burger (‘Macanteena Burger’). Two 4oz patties, shredded lettuce, Canteena sauce and a gherkin, all enclosed in a brioche bun and served with herb-salted fries.

Canteena’s menu has a lot to offer, but if you’re in the mood for a burger, it’s a very good shout.

Cowtown Grill

For those days when you are absolutely famished, you can’t go wrong with a visit to Cowtown Grill. In our experience, the portions are generous and everything we’ve sampled on the menu has been delicious.

They don’t do things by halves at Cowtown – the burgers are piled-high with fillings; highlights include the Macdaddy and Buffalo Bill.

Roti

Roti tells diners to “expect the unexpected”. When it comes to burgers, not only does Roti have plenty of choice, each option is definitely different to the norm. Burgers currently on the menu include:

  • Bombay Paneer burger – Scorched paneer served in a brioche bun with rocket salad, red coleslaw and a crispy poori on top.

  • Deli machi burger - Brioche burger bun, Panga fish dipped in aromatic spiced batter, curry mayonnaise, red coleslaw.

  • Roti sinzer bangra burger - Chicken coated in a secret spiced rub with a tattie fritter, spiced slaw + tandoori mayo.

Also, it’s worth shouting about Roti being one of the best restaurants in Sale for gluten-free.

Yard Burgers

Yard Burgers knows what’s up when it comes to creating seriously delicious burgers. It’s comfort food at its best; expect plenty of cheese and super stacked patties. Their ‘Dirty Manc’ burger contains two 4oz yard seasoned patties, Dirty Manc sauce, cheese, pickles and lettuce and it’s well worth the calories!

While the burgers are definitely the star of the show, what’s a burger without some sides? Yard Burgers’ loaded dirty fries are slathered in curry mayo, mango chutney, crispy onions, coriander, chilli and spring onion.
