February half-term 2024: Best things for kids to do in Sale, M33

The February half-term sure does come quickly after the Christmas break, doesn’t it? But don’t worry, if you’re staying local and are looking for things to do with the kids in Sale, we’ve put together a guide to the best things to do with kids this February half-term (12-16 February 2024).

Lunar New Year 'crafternoon' and trail

Stanley Square and Our Kids Social are joining forces once again to celebrate the year of the dragon this Lunar New Year!

🗓️ Saturday 10 February 2024
🕛 12.45-2.30pm
🎟️ FREE (but you MUST reserve a space for each child)
📍 Market Walk, Stanley Square, Sale M33 7ZZ

What you need to know:

Make your own paper-based fire-breathing dragon then take your dragon and join in with the dragon dance in the Square hosted by Collaborative Hong Kong Women CIC, this will ensure good luck for the Lunar New Year!

There are also six dragons hiding in Market Walk, find them all, answer the fact finding quiz and complete your activity sheet.

The dragon dance will start in the Square at 2.30pm. The Collaborative HK Women CIC raffle will be drawn at 2.45pm.

Full parental supervision is required at all times. Each Our Kids Social craft session is 45 minutes long, but some children will finish before that.

Chinese New Year art and crafts for kids
🗓️ Saturday 10 February 2024

Kidz Kreationz is hosting a special Chinese New Year crafts session, with lots of activities for young ones to try.

Make your own doll’s house craft workshop

Love to Craft MCR is hosting a half-term doll’s house craft session in Sale town centre.

Children can decorate and furnish their own doll house – it’s the perfect task to allow children to stretch their imaginations and be creative. This session is aimed at children aged 4-10 years.

This 60-minute show is suitable for the whole family but is specifically recommended for children aged 3-10.

A great way to keep the kids entertained this half-term. No need to book, this is a drop-in session.


Robot Printmaking Workshop

Learn the art of mono printing, make a loose-part robot and print it!

Fun and engaging art workshop. Parents can stay and make or drop off.

Fifth Movement half-term holiday camp
📆 12-16 February, 9am-4pm
📍Worthington Primary School, Sale M33 2JJ
🎟️ £25 per day (full week discounts available) 

Fifth Movement returns to Worthington Primary School with a fun and inclusive holiday camp suitable for ages 4-11.

Kids can enjoy yoga, dance, boxing and multi-sports, just to name a few activities.

Sale Sports Club Half Term Holiday Camp

🎟️ £30 (single day) or £135 for the full week.
(Early drop-off and late pick-up are available at no extra cost.)

This multi-sport camp is open to children aged 4 to 15 years. Children will be divided by age and ability to ensure an environment that encourages maximum skill development. Coaches work with kids to build their self-confidence and social skills.
