New women’s softball cricket team at Trafford MVCC – players wanted in Sale!
Cricket season is returning to Trafford MV Cricket Club this month, with preparations underway for an exciting year ahead.
The club’s ground is being readied for the first matches on 19 April and a brand-new all-weather wicket has been installed to ensure smooth play.
This year brings an exciting new addition to Trafford MVCC’s lineup – the launch of a women’s softball cricket team. The club is actively recruiting women and girls (ages 13 and up) to form a team, train together and take part in friendly yet competitive matches. Whether you’re an experienced cricketer or have never picked up a bat before, all abilities are welcome.
Softball cricket is a fantastic way to stay active, meet new people and enjoy a team sport in a relaxed and supportive environment. If you have good hand-eye coordination, enjoy bat-and-ball games and want to try something new, now is the perfect time to get involved.
The new women’s team will compete in the CWCL Women’s Softball League, with matches beginning on 28 April. Training sessions will help players develop their skills and confidence while fostering a strong team spirit.
How to get involved
Trafford MVCC is encouraging all interested players to get in touch and join the squad. For more details, contact Siva Prasad at 07511 620866 or email contact@tmvcricket.club. Sessions take place at Trafford MVCC, Sale M33 6LR.
Cricket for all ages
Alongside the new women’s team, Trafford MVCC is also expanding its junior cricket programme. This year, the club will field an under-9s team, as well as run All Stars Cricket for children aged 5-8 years old, introducing them to the sport in a fun and structured environment.
Encourage your children to take up cricket, enjoy the outdoors and build teamwork and sporting skills with new friends.
With something for everyone, now is a great time to get involved in cricket at Trafford MVCC. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player, this welcoming community club is ready to help you find your place on the field.
